Biography
Chris Hazelwood is a financial executive with more than eighteen years of experience in public accounting, management consulting, healthcare operations, and executive leadership.
Throughout his career, Chris has performed financial, operational, managerial, and collateral evaluations for hospitals and private medical practices throughout the United States. In addition to healthcare, his industry experience includes consumer products, energy, information technology, media, outsourcing services, real estate, and telecommunications.
Chris has served as both CFO and COO for multiple healthcare organizations where he managed liquidity crises, restructured debt, led mergers and acquisitions, developed turnaround plans, implemented accounting and finance best practices, developed operational performance metrics, and executed cost-saving initiatives.
Prior to his executive leadership roles, Chris worked for Focus Management Group, a national management consulting firm, where he was actively involved in corporate restructuring, turnaround management, financial advisory services, enterprise improvement initiatives, bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships, asset sales, and business wind-downs.
Earlier in his career, Chris worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers where he participated in financial statement audits of Fortune 500 companies.
Chris was awarded the prestigious "CFO of the Year" honor by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in recognition of his leadership at a $50 million medical billing and practice management services organization.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and graduate of the University of Florida's Master of Accounting program.
